Both institutions invest in individuals whose talents and potential include, but also go far beyond, academic achievement. Both are strongly focused on encouraging and developing those student leaders who will ultimately have the strongest impact on society. The methods of encouragement and development common to CMSF and Morehead include strong summer enrichment programs and an equally strong mentoring system to insure a far greater than normal density of experience over the four years of undergraduate life. For both Morehead and CMSF, the money is often the least important component of the award experience.
